Wisconsin is home to some of the most passionate conservationists out there, and we value our clean and sustainable natural resources. From the quality of our Fox River to the flowers in our gardens that provide food for pollinators, as Appletonians we are stewards of our environment. I will work hard to have our city policies protect the nature we love.
As a teacher and community educator I understand the importance of a high-caliber education. I will work with our common council, mayor and school board to make sure our schools have the tools they need to support our children and shape well-informed citizens. Policies should support students' ability to feel safe attending school as we overcome the pandemic. I also hope to bridge Lawrence University with the City of Appleton to increase the community's access to its amazing, world-class resources.
Hey, we are neighbors! We care for each other. Our district is inclusive, diverse and provides equal opportunities. Our Common Council should reflect the wonderful diversity that makes up our city. I would love to be the representative voice for people of color in council. I believe in the Black Lives Matter movement and I am an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, I value ethnic, economic and spiritual diversity and respect ways of life different than my own. I will work hard to continue the tradition of having a district that is welcoming to people of all backgrounds, faiths and upbringings.
