Howdy folks! Im here in Tempest Coffee Collective in the Riverheath Plaza. I intend to continue having office hours every other Tuesday from 11-12. No appointment needed just show up and chat about any neighborhood issues on your mind. This week I've started a short little poll to see what issues are on your mind. Take one minute to respond to this quick survey!
Cheers! On city business, Im meeting with the folks in Park and Rec soon to decide how to highlight and promote all of the amazing activities that our parks have to offer this year. In Community and Economic Development we are meeting to discuss a variance for modifications to the Southpoint Commerce Park building. Nothing terribly out of the ordinary.

Week 1 is in the books! I was sworn into office one week ago today, and already I am busy at work. This week I was appointed to serve on two committees in council, Parks and Rec and Community and Economic Development. I think there are many opportunities to do some great work in these committees for our city. I am excited to learn and work with my new friends and colleagues. Last night we heard the Green Tier Community report from Director Gaza that highlights all of the amazing work that makes Appleton a sustainable place to live.
This week I co-signed a resolution with Alder Shultz (Dist. 9) to advance work on the Soldier Square memorial. This is going to be an uphill battle to fundraise and get community input but our veterans deserve a respectful space to commemorate their sacrifices. Tell me your thoughts on this memorial. Im sitting in Tempest Coffee today from 11am -12 pm hosting my first office hours. I will do this every other week on Tuesdays, so if you ever want to meet in person just drop in, no appointment needed. If this time doesn't work for you, shoot me an email and we can find a better time to chat. Im talking to the city forester to plan tree replacement as big and dead trees come down in our community spaces like Telulah Park. |
